How to Apply Beard Glitter
A glitter beard is guaranteed to turn heads at Pride, festivals and Christmas parties. Here's how to apply beard glitter so it sparkles all night, and how to get it out again.
What You'll Need
- Chunky or super chunky biodegradable glitter
- Hold Up! hair gel or aloe vera gel
- A fluffy brush or a clean toothbrush

How to Apply Beard Glitter: Step by Step
- Clean and dry your beard. Wash and fully dry your beard and skin. Skip beard oil and moisturiser, as glitter needs a clean base.
- Apply gel. Work a generous layer of gel through the beard with your fingers or a brush.
- Add the glitter. Dip your brush in glitter and press it onto the gel. Pat, don't rub.
- Layer it up. Once set, add more layers, mix colours or try an ombré fade.
- Seal it (optional). A light mist of hairspray helps lock everything in place.

How to Remove Beard Glitter
- Brush out the loose glitter with a clean brush or dry towel.
- Loosen stubborn bits by massaging in a little beard oil or coconut oil, then wipe with a warm cloth.
- Shower with warm water and your usual face wash or beard shampoo.
