How to Apply Festival Glitter
Want festival glitter that stays put from the first act to the last encore? Here's exactly how to apply festival glitter to your face, body and hair, using the same techniques our artists use at the UK's biggest festivals.
What You'll Need
- Biodegradable cosmetic glitter. Chunky and blends are festival favourites
- A skin-safe fixative such as Aloeha! aloe vera gel or Glitter Fix Gel
- A glitter brush or clean fingertip
How to Apply Festival Glitter: Step by Step
- Prep your skin. Start with clean, dry skin. Do your makeup first and add glitter last.
- Apply your fixative. Dab a thin layer of gel onto the areas you want to sparkle: cheekbones, temples, collarbones or shoulders.
- Press on the glitter. Use a brush or fingertip to press glitter onto the gel. Press, don't rub, so it stays in place.
- Build it up. Mix chunky and fine glitter or layer different shades for maximum impact.
- Let it set. Leave it for a minute to dry, then tap away any loose flakes.
Face, Body and Hair Glitter
